Super Thrilled today

1986 painting by Annikki

In all her life of art, Annikki has never sold a painting, except one.

I knew I had a photograph of that painting and I had been searching, high and low, for it.

Annikki’s maternal grandfather, late Jaakko Räihä, had a saying ”Stop looking and it will come to hand!”

Today I received an email from an alumni  colleague,  Professor Prabhu Guptara,  who has a publishing company in the UK. He sent me a letter about  a Mathematics teacher who had taught me in St. Stephen’s College, Delhi,  in tje 1960s.

Dr.Anthony Stone is now 93 and  has visited and stayed with us in Finland in the early 2000s. I lost touch with  him in 2014 after his wife, Bertha,  had passed away,

Dr. Anthony Stone

I started looking through my email exchanges with Dr. Anthony Stone, and, lo and  behold, there was a photograph of the painting.

Annikki was thrilled to see that painting again, although there was a  tinge of sadness that she had sold it.

Hope you enjoy this beautiful composition.

The recent contact with Prof. Guptara and Dr. Anthony Stone can be found on my Kooler Talk (Web Version) blog as it concerns a book on Hindu Astrology written by Anthony.
